Chasing Luena (formerly Wasteman) grew up lucky. Not in a dramatic sense, but through the relationships developed between a large group of friends who stayed connected long after they were meant to drift apart. Over the years, those relationships tightened, fractured, and circled back, carrying equal parts fondness and frustration.

The band’s songs live inside those moments. They write about what it feels like to recognise the problem and still repeat it. Chasing Luena is not your average indie rock band. They’re not interested in romanticised nostalgia. Their work stays with contradiction, documenting the tension of remaining close without pretending it’s easy. 

Wasteman, the Melbourne-based indie rock band, offers a unique blend of musical influences that captivates audiences with their distinct sound. Comprising four talented members, Wasteman delivers a sonic experience that transcends traditional genre boundaries.

Their music weaves together elements of indie pop, punk rock, and subtle jazzy improvisation, creating a vibrant and dynamic performance that appeals to a diverse range of music enthusiasts. Their repertoire includes two captivating singles, "Belgrave" and "Good Friends," both of which have garnered significant attention. Currently, they're in the process of recording a new EP set to release in early 2024. With a commitment to recording their existing setlist and a tour of Australia on the horizon, Wasteman's dedication to their craft and their audience is undeniable.
